 | On the store I have seen two BasaOne products with different prices. What is the difference? |
| BasaOne is really only one application but it offers two types of usage licenses and registration. You may purchase a full license (BasaOne, Euro 99) to use BasaOne completely without restrictions or get a cheaper license to develop Dashboard Widgets (BasaOne for Widgets, Euro 69). This last license enables full BasaOne tools support but disables the generation of Web applications. |
 | What web technologies does it support? |
| BasaOne 2.0.1 generates code for PHP server platforms. In the next version we will add support for asp. We will decide on support of further technologies depending on the needs of our customers. The idea is to support as many server platforms and databases as possible in order to allow the developer to deploy the application wherever he needs without the need to change any line of code. |
 | What platforms does it run on? |
| BasaOne 2.0.1 runs on Mac OS X natively. The next step will be to release it for Windows. |
 | How do you manage the different event models of the browsers? |
| The framework we have developed includes its own consistent event model that makes that all browsers respond the same way to events. It is based on the appearance of the elements in the user interface. The topmost element the mouse is over is the first to get the event. The last one (if the event was not handled) is always the window. |
 | Do you have special prices? |
| Yes, we have special pricing for non-profit and charity organizations. We do also offer volume discount for orders of 5 or more licenses. Contact us to get special prices. |
 | Will it do color-coded syntax? |
| Color coded syntax, code auto-completion and code-hints are in the feature list for the next version. |
 | Will it show colors for the difference in HTML, JavaScript, and JSP, all in one page? |
| The only code you will write in your application is JavaScript. There will be no need to write HTML or CSS pages, as those will be generated transparently by the application. The design of the user interface will be entirely graphic. |
 | Will it support any CSS code? |
| Yes. But you will not have to write it! As mentioned above, the code for the appearance of the page will be entirely written by the compiler. CSS will be part of the generated code. |
 | Will the code comply with US Section 508 standards? |
| It is our aim to make access to information as easy as possible, especially for those people with disabilities. In regard to the paragraphs a) through p) of Section 1194.22 that define accessibility, it lies in the hands of the developer using BasaOne to design user interfaces that adhere to those provisions. Nevertheless will we try to make life of the developer as easy as possible in order to comply with the mentioned standard. |
